I’m a slacker…

No, I haven’t dropped off the face of the earth, but law school has consumed my life the last few weeks. I don’t even think I’ve picked up my camera since the Deeply Superficial People project. I’ve got a couple of images that are in various stages of processing; and my goal this weekend (between everything else) is to finish at least one of them. If you don’t see something soon, start the harassment again! :)

Done (I think)…

So the mad dash to re-create my website in a couple of days has been completed. There might have been a couple lost comments in the process, so I apologize if yours was one of the comments I couldn’t re-create. A big thanks to my sis for putting up with me madly typing in her kitchen all weekend. :)

Lesson of the week: BACK up your website!!

Road Trip Songs

There has been a couple of comments in the C!nder Rocks post regarding songs that should be included on my ‘Road Trip’ playlist. As background, about a month ago I started putting together a playlist of road trip songs. Some songs are just loud to pump you up during the long drive, others songs are about different locales I will drive through on my trip, and others are just songs about being on the road.

I’m curious to know, what would be your top 5 (or so) road trip songs? In no particular order, here are my five:

1. I Can See for Miles - The Who

2. On the Road Again - Willie Nelson

3. Born to Be Wild - Steppenwolf

4. Drive My Car - The Beatles

5. Interstate Love Song - Stone Temple Pilots

C!nder Rocks!

On Second Saturday I was gifted with a going away present from the always awesome C!nder. It’s one of his cute little monsters that will serve as my version of the Amelie garden gnome on my summer travels. It’s such an awesome present (and SOO much better than a gnome) and I’m giddy with excitement. It’s going on a trial-run this weekend with me and my Pops to Yosemite. Tales of its first travel will be appear upon our return….

As you can tell, I haven’t settled on a name for him yet (definitely a boy). So if you want to add any names to the pot, let me know!

Utah is sometimes surprising…

Who would have guessed that I would read one of the funniest opinion pieces of the year in the Salt Lake Tribune? Huh, life is full of surprises (although it WAS originally published in the LA Times). If you’ve ever watched Tyra bather on at the end of America’s Next Top Model you will find this piece especially funny. If not, you still will laugh at America’s Next Top Democratic Nominee

Welcome!

Welcome! The goal of my blog is to share with family and friends my adventures, my photographs, and the occasional philosophical musing. One of the regular features I am planning on including here is ‘Photo Friday.’ Each Friday, Photo Friday (link is on the right) releases that week’s challenge theme. The goal is to submit a photograph that conforms to that week’s theme by midnight the following Thursday. While they don’t require that you shoot the photograph that week, my goal is to take a picture each week that meets that challenge theme. I’m hoping that this challenge will expand my photographic horizons and increase my skills. Each week, look for new photos and please harass me if I miss a few weeks!I hope that you enjoy my blog, please feel free to drop me a note with any comments or suggestions.
